--------========== How to make your own Questions ==========----------
* WARNING * Don't name your file: BIBLE.TQZ, because that is the question
file that comes with this, and if you modify it the program may not work!
Also, if you think that you received a version of this software that doesn't
include the orginal 100 question Bible.TQZ file, you can obtain the orginal
VGABIBLE.ZIP from the bbs described later on.
Question Files are just Text files typed a certain way so that Tidbit
Trivia can load them. To make a question file you first need to start
your favorite text editor or word processor capable of making text files.
Question files are typed in the format of:
"Question","Correct Answer","Wrong Answer","Wrong Answer"
Lets go through the steps you would take to make a question file
called sample.tqz.
1. Start your Text Editor
2. Type:
"What is one plus one?","2","4","1"
"Who wrote this program?","Matt Fecher","Weird Al","Axl Rose"
"How many pennys are in a dollar?","100","50","none"
3. Save it as: Sample.TQZ
4. Make sure that Sample.TQZ is in the same directory as Tidbit Trivia
5. Type 'Trivia' at the dos prompt
6. At the 'What question file do you want (enter) = Demo.tqz' prompt type
SAMPLE.TQZ
7. Then at the 'How many questions are there' prompt type 3 because there
were 3 questions.
Thats all you have to do, you can go back later and edit your questions, I
ask that you do not edit the DEMO.TQZ file and then distribute this program.
If you do edit it, rename it something else. You can take a look at it, to
see how the questions are written though.
* NOTE * Questions must not exceed 72 characters in length.
Answers must not exceed 36 characters in length.
-------======== Tidbit Computers and Software ==========---------
This program was written by Matthew Fecher, President of Tidbit Software,
using Quick Basic 4.5. You can download a current version of this
or any of these other programs by Tidbit from Straight Street BBS.
Or from The Tidbit BBS A Tidbit is a #1 ASCII code:
Most of the graphics for Bible Trivia were made with a freeware paint
program called 'VGAPAINT' I used that inconjunction with a paint program
I made because it displays coordinates, so it greatly helped me find out
were to move the game pieces on the playing board. It is called 'Tidbit
Painter for VGA'
